ahhhhh…

No weddings, no kid photo sessions and no miss adventures with excitable dogs….

All work and no play was driving us a little crazy.

We took a few days off and went to New Bern, Michelle, the kids, Nana & I. Although early spring, we had a couple of great days for boating & we had a fantastic time. The pictures above were taken on the Neuse River between New Bern and Cherry Point.

We had lots of fun.  One of the days we topped the boat in the middle of the river to eat lunch and the wind blew us upstream…  When finished, we motored a little further and moored at the marina in New Bern.  We went for a little walk around some of the historic sections.  Kids ignored all the interesting stuff and went straight for a playground and promptly made friends and started playing tag.

We walked by the birthplace of Pepsi and then found a fun little ice cream shop.
