“Child Portraiture” or Kid photography seems to fall in 2 camps, “el-cheepo” (the kind done at national big box stores as a loss leader) and formal. Big box stores sell 2.5 million wallets for $15.23 because they want you to shop at their store, not because pictures make them money. They want you to come in once for the photos session (& then do some shopping around the store), once to pick out the ones you like (& then do some shopping around the store), and then once more to pick up all those wallets (& then do some shopping around the store). The other way is formal, traditional and most judge to be too expensive.

We have found that some of the very best pictures come from letting kids be kids. Let them have FUN. It is contempory, sophiscated, fun and passionate. We encourage our clients to bring in their child’s favorite toy, costumes and props. Our portrait sessions are inside or out. We love to work with our clients and explore the type of image they want created and were in their house they want to decorate. If you think it is about 1 8×10 for grammy, the bar is being set a little low. The photography, frames, & canvas prints are stunning decor and can be used a a visual center piece for decorating a room. That may be a kids room but they also can work great for great rooms, hallways, bathrooms and bonus rooms. Oh, and yes, we can make an 8×10 for grammy.
